Export Reports to PDF & Excel

Export any report — sales, purchases, P&L, ledger statements, or tax summaries (including GST reports for Indian businesses) — to PDF or Excel and share them with your accountant or team.

Step-by-step guide

  1. 1

Open the report you want to export

Navigate to Reports and open any report — Sales Summary, Profit & Loss, Customer Ledger, or Stock Statement. For Indian businesses, HSN Wise Sale Report and SAC Report are also available. Apply any date filters and groupings you need before exporting so the exported file reflects exactly what you see on screen.

  2. 2

    Tap the Export button

Tap the Export icon (download arrow) in the top-right corner of any report screen. A modal appears with format options. All reports support PDF export; tabular data reports such as Sales by Item and Purchase Summary also support Excel (XLSX) export.

  3. 3

    Choose PDF or Excel format

Select PDF if you are sharing with a customer, investor, or for printing. Select Excel if your accountant needs to manipulate the data, build their own pivot tables, or import it into accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Xero.

  4. 4

    Configure export options

For PDF exports, choose between a branded template (with your logo and business details) or a plain white template. For Excel, choose whether to include raw transaction rows or a grouped summary. Tap "Generate" to create the file.

  5. 5

    Share the exported file

Once generated, the file opens in a share sheet. Send it directly via email, WhatsApp, or save it to Google Drive, Dropbox, or your phone's local storage. The file name includes the report name and date range for easy organisation.

Pro Tips

  • Indian businesses: Use the HSN Wise Sale Report or SAC Report for GST-related billing data. GSTR-1 filing should be handled through your tax consultant or the GST portal directly.
  • Use the Excel export of the Sales by Item report to build a product performance dashboard in Google Sheets.
  • Schedule a monthly export reminder in your phone's calendar so you consistently back up key reports to cloud storage.
