POS End-of-Day & Daily Sales Review

Cash register and shift management are not currently available in the Khata Tracker web dashboard POS. This guide covers what the web POS supports: creating bills, holding bills, viewing previous bills, and reviewing daily POS sales.

Step-by-step guide

   Understand web POS scope

   Cash register management, opening float, shift controls, and end-of-day reconciliation are not currently available in the Khata Tracker web dashboard POS. These features are available in the Khata Tracker mobile app. On the web dashboard, the POS screen supports billing, bill holding, and viewing previous bills.

   Create POS bills

   Go to POS Billing from the main menu. Add items to the cart, select a payment method, and complete the sale. Each completed bill is saved automatically and reflected in your sales records and inventory.

   Hold a bill and create another

   If you need to start a new bill while keeping the current one open, use the Hold & Create Another option on the POS screen. Held bills appear as tabs so you can switch between them and complete each one when the customer is ready.

   View a previous bill

   Tap View Previous Bill on the POS screen to retrieve the most recently completed bill. This is useful if a customer needs a reprint or if you need to reference the last transaction immediately after completing it.

   Review daily POS sales in Reports

   At the end of the day, go to Reports and select the Inventory category to open the Sales report. Filter by today's date to see total sales, payment method breakdown, and item-wise performance. For cash and bank totals, check Cash & Bank under the Accounts section.
